Abstract

The "Good Lighting Award" from IEIJ has been given to the lighting facilities completed last year due to its excellence in visual environment, lighting technique, and effect of the lighting. In the Tokai branch, this award was judged by a selected committee comprised of university professors and fellow members. There are about thirty applications every year. The committee not only recommends the "Good Lighting Award" for the IEIJ headquarters but also selects the "Prize of the Head of the Tokai Branch" and the "Tokai Branch Encouragement Prize". In this paper, we report which facilities have won in the past six years and summarize the transition of the lighting facilities of the Tokai branch. As for recent trends, LED lighting has become widespread and the use of more original LED lighting technology in the future is expected.
