With growth of street trees, appropriate tree planting distance is needed in Japan. This study used viewpoint-field-mobile Virtual Reality (VR) to evaluate street trees landscape with different trees planting distance, tested the effectiveness of this method, and have identified appropriate tree planting distance from a landscape perspective. As the result, the following points were clarified. ①Viewpoint-field-mobile VR can evaluate landscape and tree distance based on a high sense of reality and immersion. There is room for improvement in reproducibility due to increased image accuracy, and also give a certain bias for feeling drunk and fatigued. ②To maintain the impression of the current streetscape as a row of trees, although the sense of security is diminished, it is desirable to update the tree distance at 15 meters or less.In the future, research on tree planting distance to improve attractiveness ratings and its relationship to optimizing management costs is desirable.
