Abstract

This paper discusses system concepts for Work Design from the viewpoint of a general system theory. There are 2 main aspects in perceiving a system, when using Work Design as a system designing method. One is to consider a system to be an arbitrary product of thought that has no entity. The other is that it also is a definite entity made up of matter and people. In this paper, it has been tried to organize and describe a system as an entity and the system and as an idea as formally as possible, and to clarify the system concept used in Work Design. The features of the system designing method with Work Design have also been organized.
