In this paper we review some of the developments which have taken place in China in management education and training and the challenges and opportunities which Management education faces in taking China into the next major phase of its industrial development and economic reform. We comment upon the role which overseas universities can make to providing such education, and especially the trans-national approach to establishing a global university pioneered by the University of Nottingham.
