Abstract
This paper deals with temporary threshold shift of finger-tip vibratory sensation induced by exposure to spectrum vibration.Three experiments were carried out using ten subjects with normal vibratory sensation. The spectrum vibration was applied to the right hand through a handle attached to an electro-dynamic vibration exciter and practical vibration tools for 2.5,5 and 10 minutes.Threshold of 125 Hz vibratory sensation was measured at every 2.5 dB step at right forefinger-tip before exposure and every minute after vibration exposure. As a result, the predicted equation for temporary threshold shift of vibratory sensation induced by exposure to spectrum vibration was obtained.
