Abstract
We investigated the particle distribution of the solid being insoluble in Xylene solution in residual fuel oil with the number and total volume of solid state particles for the past 7 years.
As the result, in case of investigation with total volume, we became known that there were recognized 2 heaps, 5-15μm (peak 10μm) and about 35-40μm in particle size.
In order to remove the solid state particles from residual fuel oil, it is necessary to put purifier to practical use and utilization of automatic backflush filter of about 35μm mesh size and still more cartridge deep type filter of about 5μm mesh size.
As on account of contain partucle total volum of 5-15μm mesh size is plentiful in residual fuel oil, we think very important that the deep type filter is equiped with larger insoluble resistance collect capacity.
