This interventional study developed and verified an educational program for expectant and nursing mothers to increase their awareness, knowledge, and skills related to preparing for natural disasters. The study compared the results of a questionnaire survey before and after program implementation in two groups of participants: pregnant women and mothers of infants. Once before and twice after the workshop, a questionnaire survey was administered to determine if participants achieved 16 disaster-preparedness goals. An analysis of the survey results showed a significant difference in the proportion of participants who achieved each goal before and after the workshop, indicating that the program effectively improved the preparedness of expectant or nursing mothers for disaster.
