Abstract
Virtual tourism tools that utilize 360 degree image include dome image and HMD image. It is hypothesized that the
viewer’s impression may be different when watching the same scenery on both image. Therefore, when applying both
image for tourism strategy, if the impression is different, it is necessary to use it accordingly. In this study, the same video was viewed as both image, and an experiment was conducted to compare the viewers’ impressions using the SD method. It was found that HMD images are more suitable for scenery that emphasizes closeness, and dome images are more suitable for scenery that spreads far away.
