This study aims to contribute to global well-being by implementing consumer education lessons focused on ethical consumption, using plant-based foods and traditionally made sesame oil as subjects, within the home economics curriculum for first-year junior high school students. The lessons were carried out in collaboration with four companies, aiming to build a foundation for students toact as responsible consumers. Survey data collected after the lessons showed that the students had acquired knowledge about ethical consumption and demonstrated an increased willingness to apply that knowledge in their daily lives. Additionally, by incorporating hands-on tasks, the lessons helped foster practical skills.
