It has been clarified that polymer-crystalline-region based composite materials can be prepared with syndiotactic polystyrene (sPS) with guest exchange procedures and solvent-induced crystallization. The structures and properties of guests in the sPS clathrates has been studied with vibrational and NMR spectroscopy, neutron scattering and so on.
