抄録

This paper deals with key factors limiting a mobile tower yarder operation on road density and other standard variables. Vertical and horizontal alignments for the setting and landing are discussed as well as slope conditions, yarding distance, yarding direction, and road location. The results presented do not answer all questions about the optimization of road networks for the mobile tower yarder system, however, they do facilitate. preliminary technical evaluations under different sets of parameters including mechanical and operational conditions.
