Abstract
Inheritance of glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT) isozyme variations was investigated in sugi (Cryptomeria japonica D. DON). Four distinct bands, Rf31, Rf33, Rf35, and Rf41, were observed in needle tissues from adult trees and seedlings. Analysis of segregating progenies in families by self-pollination revealed that Zone-1 with the three bands, Rf31, Rf33, and Rf35, was controlled by two alleles, Got-1aand Got-1b, and Zone-2 with a single band, Rf41, was controlled by Got-2a.
