The Effect of Emotional Changes Induced by Auditory Stimulation on the Pupil Diameter and its Application to the Visually Impaired People

Abstract

We conducted an experiment to infer emotional changes induced by auditory stimulation using the pupil diameter and investigated whether the experiment could be applicable to the visually impaired people as well. The difference caused by the kind of the auditory stimulations observed in the pupil diameter of the sighted people group was also observed in the visually impaired people group in the same manner. A possibility was suggested that a pupil diameter could become an index of emotional changes in the visually impaired people as well.
