Plastic and reconstructive surgery for defect of hp due to self-mutilation

Abstract

The authors recently experienced a plastic surgery (Bernard's method) for extensive defect of lower lip due to self-mutilation. The patient is a 7-year-old girl suspected Lesch-Nyhan syndrome.
The prognosis is now good with no recurrence and no problems. The authors will discuss the treatment after operation and countermeasure of self-mutilation in this paper.
