In this paper, three cases of acute suppurative arthritis of the temporomandibular joint, occurring in a 65-year-old man (case 1), 40-year-old woman (case 2), and 67-year-old woman (case 3), are presented.
Clinical signs and symptoms were general malaise, pyrexia, trismus with localized swelling, tenderness, waviness over the left temporomandibular joint, and malocclusion with deviation of the mandible to the healthy side.
