Abstract

A new back strength dynamometer, which is designed to measure directory the back strength with the help of a "rope" attached on the shoulders of the human body, was deviced by the present author. The results obtained here as follows: 1) It was presented that the back strength could be measured without any modification by means of the "rope-type" dynamometer. 2) Difference between the back sterngth with the KYS-type back strength dynamometer and with this new type dynamometer is significant in a case of female subjects whose grip strength is rather weak. 3) It. was revealed to the previous findings that there is no definite correlation between the back strength and the grip strength of the human body.
