As to evaluating fibrinolytic activity of urokinase, microcalorimetric method was attempted. We could find that thermal reaction is very useful to evaluate the fibrinolytic activity of urokinase, by using plasminogen as the substrate of urokinase and fibrinogen as the substrate of plasmin.
