Inoculation experiments with Fusarium oxysporum isolates from Phaseolus angularis, P. vulgaris and Vigna sinensis revealed that each isolate was specific to their respective host plants. F. oxysporum f. sp. adzukicola f. sp. nov. was proposed for P. angularis isolates to distinguish from other formae speciales, f. sp. phaseoli and f. sp. tracheiphilum.
