The stains of X-ray films proves obstacle to diagnosis on films. Therefore, a film should be kept from stains and if the stains appear on the film, they have to be taken out as soon as possible. The author investigated the cause and the preventive measure of stains on films through many experiments. From the results the following was concluded : Most of stains can be taken out effectively by using reduction and intensification of photography. Some films of which stains were taken out were offered as examples.
