CHANGE OF PHOTOSENSITIVE MATERIAL AND APPLICATION FOR RADIOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

Photosensitive materials that have major part of radiographic diagnosis, have been developed for over ninety years. In this presentation, historical changes of photosensitive materials were discussed with their present status and problems. Regular system of intensifying screen with CaWO_4 has been used for long time. Recently, the system of intensifying screen with rare earth has been developed, making a certain progress on image quality of radiography. We should select the best one among these various photosensitive materials, in order to get better medical information, acording to the diagnostic purposes.
