In our pediatric radiography room, the objects are ranging from neonat to ten-year-old children. In pediatric radiography,various radiographic conditions are needed according tothe growth of physique of each child, because their rapid growth produces much lager gaps between their age and physique than in adults. Until now, we determined radiographic conditions by the paramaters of phssique(age),part of body and projection.However this method requires a much longer time due to unskilled technologists. We have been awiting the appearance of a radiographic condition presetting device. We are studies on devices presebtly being marketed, but none are able to satisfy our needs because of shortage or insuffciency regarding to presetting number and parameters of the radiographic conditions.In order to solve these proburems, we have developed a simple and convenient presetting device. This machine is use in conjunction with an X-ray apparatus and personal computer. Inputting the data of a child's built(age or body weight), part of body and projection into personal computer, it automatically determines the radiographic condition.
