By combining the new SR film series for fast processing of Konica film with green light-emitting intensifying screens KO-250, the image quality characteristics could be determined. The image quality characteristics such as sensitivity, contrast, resolution and granularity were measured. And then, NEQ (u) could be calculated from the data. The sensitivity and contrast were determined by measuring the characteristic curves, the resolution and the granularity by measuring the MTF and Wiener spectra, respectively. As for the sensitivity and contrast, the contrast was lower, and sensitivity was higher in SR-V than in SR-H. As for SR-C, the contrast in the low density part was lowered, and that in high density part was restrained. As compared with SR-G, the MTF was high in SR-V, low in SR-L and SR-C, and the same for SR-H. The Wiener spectra were low in SR-C, high in SR-H and SR-V, and the same for SR-L as compared with SR-G. SR-C showed a higher value of NEQ (u) in the region of low frequency below 1.0 cycle/mm.
