Abstract

Recently, a number of researches for knowledge representation have been progressing. Furthermore, over the past few years object-oriented programming languages have become popular in the Artificial Intelligence. In this paper, we describe a representation language based on object-oriented concepts and an "expert system" which takes advantage of the characteristics of it. The representation language has some features ; e. g. there are a number of programming styles, and there is the meta-program function integrating them. These features are utilized for the application program "expert system". This expert model is designed primarily as EMYCIN-like systems in which there is the strength of inference and in which the rules chain together to infer complex hypothesis. These property greatly harmonize with the representation language.
