Abstract
Following the preceding papers, in which we analysed the forms of the out-of-roundness decided by the geometrical arrangements of the wheels and the work, the forms of the work centerlessground experimentally under the working conditions of light cut, are shown in this report. The results are as follows:
1. There are forms of the out-of-roundness proper to the center-height and the formula ne≅π/γ, obtained analytically in the preceding papers, is correct enough to be used practically.
2. The most frequent form of the out-of-roundness having odd number of corners is a triangular one and its out-of-roundness increases as γ decreases.
3. The out-of-roundness having even number of corners decreases as its number of corners increases.
4. There is the most suitable center-height with which the out-of-roundness becomes minimum and it is in case of γ=7°.
