Abstract
The author has studied a number of Xantholinini (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) which are preserved in the National Museum of Nature and Science, Tokyo, collected in Southwest China (Yunnan, Gaoligongshan Mountains), and describes the following species: Mahavana watanabei sp. nov., remotely related to the known Indochinese species of the genus; Nepalinus montanus sp. nov. and Nepalinus yunnanus sp. nov., barely similar to the species known from India and Nepal; Indomorphus yunnanus sp. nov., similar to I. parcus (EPPELSHEIM) from India, Nepal, Bhutan and Yunnan; Atopolinus watanabei sp. nov., closely related to A. kosianus BORDONI from Nepal, and Atopolinus rubescens sp. nov., related to A. ovaliceps (SCHEERPELTZ) from Myanmar, Thailand, South China, Bhutan, and Malaysia, and to A. gaoligong BORDONI from N. Yunnan.
