Abstract
Thermal conductivity of multilayered films that are composed of two kinds of atoms was studied by molecular dynamics method. Two kinds of Lennard-Jones particles constitute a two-dimensional thin film model with various stucking periods. Keeping the temperature of three layers in upper region high and that of three layers in lower region low, heat flux was calculated and thermal conductivity was evaluated after the stationary distribution of temperature was achieved. The evaluated thermal conductivity was lower as the stucking period of the sample decreased, contrary to the prediction of the simple combination rule. This can be attributed to stagnation of heat flux at the interfaces of the two kinds of materials with different thermal conductivities.
