A support system for Japanese reading comprehension for Chinese learners has been developed using Shogakukan Japanese-Chinese dictionary software. This system divides text into words by WinCha, which is a morphology analysis system for Windows. When a learner selects a word with a mouse, the word is searched for by the dictionary software. The Learner is also able to listen to the speech data and see the image data contained in the dictionary software. Other dictionary software will be usable, if a plug-in module to handle the dictionary software is created.
