The Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) CNG Engine Center has already running the engine performance test in a bi-fuel engine. Two setting conditions were applied in a Ricardo research engine: standard and modified conditions. In the standard circumstance, engine testing is running without major modification. While in the later stage, modification in air-fuel and compression ratios were implemented. This paper analysed the comparisons study of the CNG and gasoline fuelledengine in term of: power and torque, pressure rise inside the cylinder, P-V diagram, fuel consumption, heat and bum rate and last but not least the emission products. The results showed that there is a clear signal that with the proper modification, the CNG will produce a comparable engine performance to the gasoline with less emission and less fuel price. Based on the results, it is confirmed that CNG fuelled engine may be compete with conventional gasoline engine in term of performances with lesser emission product.
