FEASIBILITY STUDY ON PERPENDICULAR RIGID DISK

  Some problems must be solved before perpendicular recording of rigid disks can be realized commercially. The most important point is to perform high-density recording. The spacing problem must also be solved. This paper describes the recording process analysis and tribology approach for double-layer glass media and narrow-gap-length film heads.
