Magnetic Order, Giant Magnetoresistance and Superconductivity in Oxides

抄録

  It is shown that the Holstein Hamiltonian for a small polaron in the correlated motion approximation accounts for the linear dependence of resistivity on temperature in high T_c oxide superconductors. It also explains giant magnetoresistance in manganites when the activation energy is considered to depend on the long-and short-range atomic and magnetic order parameters.
