The succession and the present of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Information Technology Center : Mainly on the providing API

Abstract

Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Information Technology Center developed the library service that utilized various API from 2003. This paper introduces the purpose, use and effect of the API. We analyze the search count of 2012 of the Union catalog of the agriculture and forestry fisheries research institutes, the search number of using API was double than the search number of OPAC. In addition, in the system update in March 2013, we implement the National Diet Library Dublin core metadata description (DC-NDL). This plan is for improvement of output format to Linked Open Data (LOD).
