Abstract

Both IoT (Internet of Things) and CPS (Cyber Physical Systems) can create new value in the world by connecting the physical world and cyberspace. This article introduces concrete examples of domestic and overseas on IoT and CPS. Then, we describe the "super smart society" (Society5.0) which practice was proposed in The 5th Science and Technology Basic Plan. To conclude, we defined architecture of fundamental technologies and summarize research and development issues.
