供血源の明らかな血清肝炎の二症例

A 29 year old male who had been transfused whole blood from apparently healthy 6 donors supplied a 40 year old female his blood 14 days before he developed serum hepatitis. The female recipient developed serum hepatitis at 30th day since the blood transfusion.
These two cases suggest that viremia and its infectivity occur before the patient exhibit a functional impairment of the liver.
