Papers written about optical coherence tomography (OCT) images for high-resolution of the retina. OCT is a new imaging technique in vivo which can reveal cross-sectional images including the macula and the optic disc area. I describe OCT images of the macula in normal subjects, identify the structure especially in the foveolar region, demonstrate four pathological conditions (central serous chorioretinopathy, pigmentary degeneration, macular hypoplasia and preretinal hemorrhage with niveau formation) by spectral domain OCT.
