数種の双環モノテルペン炭化水素の合成ゼオライト触媒存在下, 塩素置換酢酸による水和反応

抄録

The hydration of 2-pinene (1), 2 (10) -pinene (2), camphene (3), tricyclene (4), and Δ³-carene (5) with mono-, di-, and trichloroacetic acid in the presence of synthetic zeolites (A-3, A-4, A-5 and F-9) was investigated.
The hydration of (1) and (2) gave α-terpineol (7) as a major product, while (3) gave only isoborneol (8) under optimized conditions. Hydration of (5) gave (7) as a main product with high conversion (98%, at best) and selectivity.
