A Scanning Electron Microscope Consideration of the Structure of Peritubular Dentin

Abstract

Although the minute structure of peritubular dentin is well known, we found it possible to obtain detailed images of what might be considered to be its hypo-mineralized layers in our investigation of dentin by use of a scanning electron microscope. As a detailed report on this subject is scanty in the published literature, it is here reported before the interested parties.
