Experiment on Introduction of Parking Information and Guidance Systems in Toyota Central Urban Districts and Fact-finding Survey on Utilization of Parking Information Systems

Abstract

In this paper, the experiment carried out twice for introducing the parking information and guidance systems, the introduction of the system, and the fact-finding survey on the utilization of parking system after the introduction are described. One of the experiment carried out twice was the parking information system utilizing personal radio, and another is the parking information and guidance system by the combined use of weak radio wave and variable signs. The objective of installing the parking information system that was introduced in October, 1988, and the outline of its function, and the results of the fact-finding survey in parking information system, which was carried out for the shoppers who came to central urban districts in February, 1989, are described.
