The purpose of his article is to clarify the problem on the landscape-management at historical landscape in Asuka village, Nara pref. Conclusions are below: (1) The main methods of landscape-management is to maintain economic activities which is agriculture and forestry. (2) The aim of projects about public owned land is to promote the development of sightseeing. (3) The main problems are to be left the landscape to run wild, and to be insufficient of the torchbearers. (4) Residents' perception shows that they recognize the regional-landscape honor and want the understandings and supports of all the people. To create the better landscape-management, it is significant to experiment the new methods and to prepare the total landscape planning and involve both residents' and many people's participation.
