Recently, request-based replotting has been getting popular in land readjustment projects although some of them were non-statutory. This study analyses request-based replotting through 15 cases in terms of its role in each development and the reason why it succeeds. Those 15 cases would be classified into three types based on the replotting patterns. Conclusions are as follows; 1) request-based replotting is adopted in order to realize planned land use and to retain equality among land owners, 2) as a result, the land readjustment project has been implemented more smoothly and efficiently.
