抄録
The purpose of this article to explain the programs of "Fureai Meals Project" at Somechi public elementary school in Chofu, especially the process of the communication between the elderly and the school children, and to estimate the effect of the Surplus Classrooms in Public Schools to Rooms for Welfare Programs, on the elderly physical and mental status. We conclude the "Fureai Meals Project" has significant effects on social relationship, lightening isolation, and the quality of life of the elderly. We can estimate the purpose of the project have been achieved. The Surplus Classrooms for Welfare Programs are very useful in this case.
