Abstract
This paper, taking Kashiwanoha area as a study case of suburban railway station vicinities, clarifies first how people who will move there intend to change the tendency to carry out selected activities near their homes and use automobiles. Secondly, it studies whether the provision of Kashiwanoha's detailed town information can encourage intention to conduct activities within the area. As a result, it is shown that they overall intend to act more in the local area with less reliance on cars. But it is suggested that high car users for distant trips may extend their activity area after starting new life. It also shows the possibility of attracting some kind of activities more locally by providing town information to the segment.
