A Gap between Disaster Preparedness and Awareness about Flood Risk

Abstract

The questionnaire about 15kinds of preparedness to flood disaster was carried out to residentswho live flood basin area, we analyzed the gap between flood risk awareness and self evaluation or disaster preparedness andself evaluation based on this questionnaire. We built the model for estimating degree of flood risk awareness (the amount ofknowledge of flood risk) by using fuzzy reasoning. We analyzed degree of risk awareness and self evaluation using value calculated by this model. We analyzed disaster preparedness and self evaluate. And last, the problems of disaster preparedness ware clarifiedfrom the result of this two analyzing.
