Landscape management of Old King's Highway in Massachusetts

Abstract

A case study on the landscape management at Old King's Highway in Massachusetts was conducted. The findings include the followings: The OKH Regional Historic District Commission is a regal body that is given the power of managing the historic quality and context of any buildings along OKH. Cape Cod Commission is a regional growth management agency that contributes the management of OKH by conducting scientific researches and providing professional advises for the local communities. The collaboration of these two bodies along with concerned agencies and citizen groups enables efficient and practical management of the historic landscape along OKH.
