Abstract
The problem of “rat-run” traffic has not been very much solved in urban area. In precedence study, actual traffic condition of rat-run and the mechanism of rat-run utilization in drivers were clarified. With this recognition, the purpose of this study is to examine about the orientation of countermeasures for rat-run traffic as a case in Toyota. The consciousness on road traffic environment of rat-run roadside inhabitant was analyzed. And, the impact analysis in the case of countermeasure and improvement variously was carried out using the traffic assignment simulation. The result showed that the countermeasure considering environment of district in rat-run and road network characteristic around the district was important.
