抄録
The authors numerically investigated the behaviors of tunnels during the excavation by the umbrella (RJFP; Rodin Jet Fore Pile) method. The stresses and the deformation in the longitudinal direction should be analyzed by three dimensional (=3D) model. The authors conducted 3D analysis of the tunnel behavior during the construction of the SHYORYO Tunnel of Tomei Expressway, where the umbrella method was applied, and examined the effectiveness of the numerical method by comparing the such results with the observed ones. From the analysis, it was shown that the umbrella method is useful to design a large tunnels.
