1. A detail structure of the wood of Taiwania cryptomerioides HAYATA have been studied.
2. The tracheal pitting of secondary wood is usually opposite; but alternate type occurs frequently in the first formed secondary wood and the last formed primary wood tracheids.
3. The pith is composed of parenchyma and stone-cells, and resembles that of Geinitzia and Paracupressinoxylon cryptomeriopsoides.
4. No traumatic resin canals occur; wound reaction is exhibited byincreasing resin cells.
