1. The general structure of the spermatozoid of Isoetes asiatica is almost the same as that of Isoetes japonica, but the former is somewhat the smaller.
2. The spermatozoid of Isoetes asiatica bears eight cilia in most cases on one side of the surface of the cilia-bearing portion. Two cilia out of eight go forwards, while the remaining six go rearwards. These two facts are thought to be specific characteristics of this spermatozoid.
3. Sometimes spermatozoids of a true fern type are seen. This fact is of some phylogenetic significance.
4. At the head of the spermatozoid-body can be seen the cilia bearing portion, which is triangular in shape. The cytoplasmic band runs along the whole length of the spermatozoid-body. Time fin-like appendage is thought to be the remnant of the cytoplasm of the spermatid.
5. A sphericall blepharoplast appears in the cytoplasm of the spermatid and elongates along the surface of the nucleus with its anterior portion differentiating into the border-brim and the cilia-bearing portion. The process of spermatoteleosis is almost the same as in the case of Isoetes japonica.
