抄録

Sound velocity, V_s, in the liquid Sn–Te alloy has been measured up to 1000°C. The compressibility deduced from V_s and the density as a function of the concentration shows a cusp at the Te rich side of the stoichiometric SnTe. The results have been discussed in relation to the anomalous thermodynamic and electrical properties of the alloy.
