Abstract
The automatic combustion control (A C C) and NOx control of incinerators are one of the recen problems imposed upon municipal solid waste combustion plants
The usual A C C practices established in general industrial processes are hardly applicable for the refuse, which means a mixture of diversified constituents, therefore, the incinerator controls have been carried out for long years by experienced operators, while the A C C needs are increasing rapidly to stabilize the runnings, to ensure the safe guard against secondary pollutions and to realize the rationalization.
For NOx control, on the other hand, there are many problems to be solved further technically and economically in de- NOx from the exhaust gases of incinerators and it is believed so far that the combustion techniques should be improved to prevent NOx formation.
To study the above problems, we excuted from June, 1977' to March, 1978 several tests to get the fundamental data for incinerator runnings with NOx reduc ion and succeeded to obtain the fruitful conclusion based on the data ana lysis that A C C of incinerators and NOx control combustion can be practical.
