Abstract
The effect of reducing agents for NO reduction activities were compared between NH3 and urea on zeolite-type SCR catalysts such as Fe-, Cu- and Ce-zeolite type catalysts using the model-gas reactor. As a result, NO reduction performances had a similar tendency between both reducing agents. To investigate urea decomposition behavior, the FTIR analysis was operated on the surface of the Fe-zeolite catalyst during NO reduction. Then NH3 was produced at a low enough temperature (130-160 ºC) on the catalyst surface. Therefore, it is considered that the reducing agent species (NH3 or urea) showed almost no difference for the NO reduction activity.
